Having something made especially for you is one of the best feelings ever and we're so psyched you are thinking about making a specially made to measure Eid piece from us.
We've attached a Measurement Guide on how to get your measurements as accurately as possible and here's some tips from our head tailor Sansan on how to go about measuring yourself:
1 - The sleeve length should be taken with your arm slightly bended (as per diagram)
2 - When measuring for your dress, it's good to add 2-3 cm of room so that your dress will be comfortable and not skin tight. Add a few more CM if you would like it to be more loose and roomy.
3- Total length of the Dress is always measured from your collarbone and all the way down to your ankle (or feet if you prefer it to be longer). Measurement should be taken at the front of your body (not your back), and remember to stand straight, with the measuring tape going over over your bust. It is always safer to have your dress slightly longer than shorter. (You can always trim the length, but you can't add on.)
4 - Please give us measurements in CM and all measurements for Bust, Waist and Hips, should be all-around (circumference). The format for your measurements for The Thea to use is:
Shoulder, Bust, Waist, Hips, Sleeve Length, Dress Length
5 - When unsure, the best thing to do is measure a dress that you already have that best fits you, laid flat on the floor!
